What does FrVeges Series mean anyway?!  Fr is for Fruit and Veges is for Vegetables.  Misty Palek, author of these short stories, uses Fruit and Vegetables to create landscapes for her one-of-a-kind illustrations and stories based on a Dachshund named, Jaxson P. Mutt.

What’s so special about this series?  The books are based on the creative imagination of Misty, who brings delight and wonder to others’ imagination.  Can you now image a dachshund living in a row of brownstone type housing, but made out of large peaches?  Or maybe imagine Cherry night clubs in downtown “PeachHatten!”

Jaxson, the main character is the owner of a very special book store in “PeachHatten,” called the Book-A-Torium.  Jaxson encounters many adventures because of a little girl fox that lives down the street from his book store, Fenna Filmore Fox.

There are nine short stories in this series all centered around Jaxson, his bookstore and his adventures.  You can follow the progress on this series at  http://www.mistypalek.com/?page_id=132
